Our comprehensive training programme is open to all members and offers training in both behavioural skills and technical skills. Our programme has sessions aimed at all levels and helps future and current industry high flyers to learn to lead themselves, others and organisations.

All our sessions are stand-alone modules and come with downloadable resources to accompany the session.

Junior – this is aimed at Executive and Manager levels

Leadership

Topic: Self Awareness

Aimed at: Junior – Mid level (Executive – Manager)

Description:

To be an effective leader it helps to know what you do that hinders and what you do that helps you achieve the outcomes you seek. The foundation of self-awareness combined with the courage to embrace personal change, will enable you to drive strong engagement and powerful results from your people, whilst remaining true to yourself.

Topic: Communication

Aimed at: Junior – Mid level (Executive – Manager)

Description:

Confident and authentic communication is a fundamental part of leadership, particularly at times of change when speaking with clarity, credibility and conviction helps to cut through the noise. And when we speak as ourselves, and not from behind a mask, we make meaningful connections with people, build trust and affect change. That is why this module will focus on what you stand for as a leader and how to express that in ways that people listen to, trust and follow.

Topic: Driving Innovation

Aimed at: Junior – Mid level (Executive – Manager)

Description:

People are constrained by the way they are thinking. A great leader is able to challenge their own thinking, and the way people think, helping them break through the assumptions they have made that hitherto have constrained performance. This in turn makes innovation possible.

Business Management

Topic: Development of a strategic budget and financial plan to deliver a strategy

Aimed at: Senior

Description:

Developing an understanding of how to financially deliver a strategy, how to budget for it and stay within guidelines set for financial results is an essential part of career development. This session will help you plan, see how to build resilience into your budget, how to plan across co located events and deliver to a company’s goals.

Topic: How to drive profitability and growth that exceeds industry averages

Aimed at: Senior

Description:

Hitting financial metrics and managing outcomes is an essential part of a development tool kit. Understanding how to hot your metrics and what you can do within financial budgets to achieve will help you understand your goals, why they are set and how to achieve them.

Topic: How to you drive productivity?

Aimed at: Senior

Description:

One part of managing outcomes is how to drive efficiency within your teams. See how you can drive performance, drive revenues and costs and predict outcomes for strategic reviews and deliver key results, using all the tools in your tool chest.

Topic: Control and management of reporting processes

Aimed at: Senior

Description:

Most companies have a set way of reporting at set times that require standardised input from across company teams. How to you deliver to these deadlines and how can you set your own leadership teams to deliver on time and to a set series of reports. Helping them understand the metrics and adhere to tight reporting deadlines is a must and this module will help you lay the foundations of a robust reporting schedule.

Topic: How to spot revenue opportunities and profit, outside of the original plan

Aimed at: Senior

Description:

Driving revenues is an essential part of delivery and spotting these opportunities and taking advantage of them is part of your role. Learn, what can be achieved and how to spot them takes practise and sometimes asks, how brave are you. Learn the signs and how to plan out result will give you a head start.

Topic: How to write a strategic plan and what should it contain

Aimed at: Senior

Description:

Mapping out a template that you can adapt for different strategic outcomes will give you a place to start planning effectively for building strategy, budgets and getting plans signed off with your managers and teams. Ensuring that everyone knows the plan, enables you to deliver effectively, efficiently and gives everyone an understanding of what success looks like is looked at in this module and will make planning and sign off easier and quicker, leaving you more time for the actual delivery.

When things change, it’s important to know how to respond. Each challenge could result in a different outcome and managing these outcomes is essential for the success of your business. Outcome management and team direction are essential in delivering success and this module will give you a series of tools to apply to fluctuations that can help you drive success with the right performance management techniques.

Creating a working culture that fits with your company and industry is essential and sometimes having difficult conversations with team members is part of the your to do list. These are essential to get right in order for you to deliver required results and improve the functioning of a team. Learn how to start these to get the best results for your team and company.

The most common tip for public speaking is practice, practice, practice… this is a dangerous tip. Whilst that might work for some people, what that really means for lots of people is you are practising being anxious over and over again. Not good.
But if you DON’T practise, it’s probably not going to turn out well. Not good
